Concept of the exhibition “2 degrees” was presented for the first time in the Gallery of Fine Arts in Split in 2017. The exhibition in Pogon in Zagreb will therefore be the second time that the art collective Lovers tackle the ground of “questions and polemics connected to the production of energy and raising awareness of its importance, advantages and disadvantages of self-sustainable systems, while building mechanical installation aiming at pointing to what energy is and how much of it is needed so that something works, plays music or illuminates" (from the text by Marija Stipišić Vuković, curator at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Split).
About authors
Lovers is a collective of six young authors: Tamara Bilankov (1988.), Hrvoslava Brkušić (1982.), Stella Leboš (1988.), Luana Lojić (1991.), Ivana Pipal (1990.) and Ana Vuzdarić (1984.). Lovers started to act as an art organization in 2018. Their work is focused on interdisciplinary connecting science and art toward expansion of perception, sensation and creation of new places - within and out of the notion of senses.
